Kim, Dong Woo

AIA, NCARB, Principal

 

Mr. Dong Woo Kim is a California-licensed architect and a full member of the AIA (American Institute of Architects). He has been working for design-oriented architect’s offices for 25 years and is a certified architect from NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Board). He has worked on a couple of hundred projects located in the US, Korea, China, and Australia and was a lead designer of several design award projects including AIA design awards and KIA design awards. He joined the architecture exhibition as an exhibition entry in LA and Seoul to communicate with the public. As an academic experience, he held a lecture for the SCI-Arc March design studio and was invited to the design studio as a guest critic for the USC graduate school of architecture. He earned a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering in Korea in 1996 and a degree in master of architecture from SCI-Arc in 2009. He founded DK design workshop, Inc in downtown LA in 2016 and has worked on design-oriented projects including the Flower hotel project, Re:Mask office remodeling (currently Wework Sinsa), and many single-family houses / residential/commercial projects in Southern California.
